Return2hk – Travel Scheme for Hong Kong Residents Returning from the Mainland or Macao without being subject to quarantine under the Compulsory Quarantine of Certain Persons Arriving at Hong Kong Regulation (Cap. 599C) (Return2hk Scheme)


Welcome to this Booking System.

From 27 April 2021, the system accepts bookings 24/7. It opens the quotas under the Return2hk Scheme every Wednesday at 00:00 hrs for booking for entry to Hong Kong from the Mainland or Macao for the 14-day period of the following two weeks (Monday of next week to Sunday of the week after next week). Subject to availability, booking for the quota for the same day is also possible, but applicants should pay attention to whether they are able to comply with all the specified conditions under the Scheme (including having obtained the proof of a valid negative COVID-19 nucleic acid test result).

Quotas will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.

Applicants may also enquire/change/cancel about and download their application results from the system anytime on or before the date of their booking.

Eligibility for application:

  • Hong Kong residents who are aged 18 or above and holding a valid Hong Kong Identity Card may use this system to apply for quotas under this scheme so that they will not be subjected to the compulsory quarantine upon entry to Hong Kong from the Mainland or Macao from designated land boundary control points or Hong Kong International Airport. Applications for Hong Kong residents aged under 18 have to be made by a parent or guardian. Please note:The Return2hk Scheme is applicable for Hong Kong residents or temporary residents with limit of stay expired on or after 1 January 2020 who intends to resume residence in Hong Kong only. Please refer to FAQs on the Return2hk Scheme website for eligibility of the Scheme.

Points to Note:

  • In addition to obtaining a quota under the Scheme, a person who is arriving from the Mainland or Macao would not be subjected to the compulsory quarantine arrangement upon his/her arrival in Hong Kong if he/she can fulfil the category of persons and all conditions specified under sections 12(2) and 12(A) of the Compulsory Quarantine of Certain Persons Arriving at Hong Kong Regulation (Cap. 599C).
